Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nystagmus examination instrument which can objectively evaluate the presence of nystagmus of examinees.
SOLUTION: An examinee reciprocates eye balls horizontally by responding to images generated by an image generation means 1 and presented to the examinee by an image presentation means 2. Time series data of the motion of the eye balls are measured by an eye ball measuring means 3. An arithmetic means 4 performs an analysis of rhythmic flucturation from the time series data of the motion of the eye balls measured by the eye measuring means 3 and the results of the analysis are shown on a display means 5 as diagnostic support data.
