Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that difference in level is generated on a boundary surface of an output between respective channels and that accurate OB clamping can not be performed to generate difference in a black level between left and right screens in an image pickup device for reading an image pickup area by dividing the image pickup area into two left and right areas or more.
SOLUTION: An OB clamp processing part extracts a signal for monitoring areas 231, 233, 235 and 237 in an image pickup area 21A and a signal for monitoring areas 232, 234, 236 and 238 in an image pickup area 21B from an image pickup signals of the image pickup areas 21A and 21B of a solid-state image pickup device and separately accumulates the signals. Next, level differences of the respective signals accumulated between the adjacent monitoring areas 231 and 232, the monitoring areas 233 and 234, the monitoring areas 235 and 236, and the monitoring areas 237 and 238 are subjected to linear interpolation to calculate a signal level difference in each line, further calculating a correction value for correcting the signal level difference. The correction value is multiplied by an image pickup signal in each of the divided image pickup areas 21A and 21B to perform level adjustment.
