Title:
O-RING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000044931
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain an O-ring excellent in moldability, mold release solvent resistance low-temperature properties, etc., and desirable for use in e.g. the injector of a fuel injector of e.g. a cylinder injection engine by vulcanization- molding a liquid fluororubber having a perfluoropolyether structure in the main chain and having a specified viscosity.

The liquid fluororubber is one having a structure represented by the formula: [CF(CF3)CF2O]n (wherein n is an integer of 2 or greater) in the main chain and having a viscosity of about 8,000 Pa s or below at room temperature. This rubber is one obtained as an oligomer of hexafluoropropene oxide and is exemplified by a product in the series of SIFEL (trademark), products of Shin-etsu Kagaku K.K. The vulcanization molding is performed by a process such as compression molding, transfer molding injection molding, or LIMS. The molding conditions include a temperature of about 40 to 200°C and a pressure of about 10-500 kgf/cm2.
