Title:
ANTIFOGGING AGENT FOR SYNTHETIC RESIN FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000044934
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain an antifogging agent excellent in, especially, initial antifogging properties by using an alkylcyclohexanol/alkylene oxide adduct.

An adduct represented by the formula is used. In the formula, R1 is a 6-20C alkyl; R2 is H, methyl, or ethyl; and n is an integer of 1 or greater. R1 may be of a linear or branched structure or may be of any structure included in the possible structural isomers of the alkyl. Further, R1 may be in any of the positions of 2, 3, and 4 of a cyclohexane ring in relation to the alkoxylate group. Furthermore, although there exist structural isomers in each of which R1 and the alkoxylate group are cis or trans in configuration, both of the configuration are possible. The antifogging agent is used in an amount of 0.2-5.0 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. synthetic resin. The synthetic resin used is generally a film-forming thermoplastic synthetic resin or the like.
