Abstract:

PURPOSE: To surely control an oil level in an oil pan of a transmission in making a required force at selective temperature so as to be added to a cover by adjusting a bracket position after bending a pair of legs connected to a stop member.

CONSTITUTION: When a valve 30 is calibrated, an end part 62 of a thermostatic element 86 is fitted into beneath tabs 64 and 66, while two fingers 76 and 78 are also fitted into beneath a transverse extending stop element 86, and a force measuring gauge is engaged with the underside of a cover 52 after making it so as to be collectively matched with an apex of the thermostatic element 56. Next, a bracket 80 is first bending counterclockwise from a broken line position continuously till the specified force selected in securable by a measuring gauge. Subsequently, at a spot where the specified force is measured, the valve is attached to a transmission.
