Title:
OIL-RESISTANT RUBBER ALLOY COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3253898
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vulcanizable composition excellent in fuel resistance, resistance to an alcohol mixture fuel, heat resistance and wear resistance, and lower in cost than fluororubbers by incorporating a pre-vulcanized fluororubber and/or its compound into an epichlorohydrin rubber.
SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by incorporating a pre-vulcanized fluororubber and/or its compound in an amount of 10-90 wt.% in terms of the fluororubber into an epichlorohydrin rubber. It is desirable to reuse the flash and a waste material generated in the primary vulcanization molding for the pre-vulcanized fluororubber compound. The fluororubber used preferably comprises, e.g. a vinylidene fluoride/hexafluoropropylene copolymer, a vinylidene fluoride/hexafluoropropylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, or a tetrafluoroethylene/vinylidene fluoride/propylene copolymer.
