Abstract:
To provide a method for quickly and easily judging the coagulase type of Staphylococcus aureus.
The method for judging the coagulase type of Staphylococcus aureus comprises conducting a gene amplification using, as primers, oligonucleotide chains nearly specific to a gene of each of coagulase I-VIII types. This method is characterized in comprising specifically amplifying part of the target coagulase gene in DNA in a specimen with at least two oligonucleotides as the primers for the coagulase types.
