To provide a method suitable for one-article production of a woven fabric without wasting both warps and wefts, and to provide an apparatus to be used for the above method.
This method for one-article production of a woven fabric has such a scheme that a single warp or a bundle of warps corresponding to the length necessary for weaving a single woven fabric article is set up zigzag- fashion between two crossbars 1, 2 disposed spacedly, thus preparing a group of warps 6 arranged nearly in parallel with one another. Then, the above group of warps 6 is divided into two subgroups, and the following three kinds of motion are repeated: shedding motion to provide a shed through which a weft is to be threaded, weft inserting motion by which a weft is threaded through the shed, and beating motion by which a weft threaded through the shed is pushed toward a specified position in the fabric to be woven.
