Abstract:

To provide an opening sealing material for obtaining a honeycomb filter which is excellent in high temperature heat resistance and small in a volume change corresponding to a temperature change.

An opening sealing material is configured to seal ends of the through-holes of a honeycomb structure having a plurality of parallel through-holes partitioned by partitions. The opening sealing material contains first powder containing aluminum magnesium titanate and second powder containing aluminum titanate-based ceramic, and the second powder contains strontium.
