To provide an optical disk drive capable of obtaining excellent reproduction performance by stabilizing a PLL circuit.

The operation of the PLL circuit is stabilized by arranging phase detectors for signals before and behind an FIR filter, respectively, and by alternatively using them in accordance with the operating status of the PLL. Thus, the optical disk drive which is improved in reproduction performance so as to pull out an operation limit of a viterbi decoder can be obtained.
