Abstract:
To provide an optical film having no in-plane orientation of molecules, excellent liquid crystal display properties and further having moisture resistance.
The optical film is composed of a thermoplastic polymer film A layer having a thermoplastic polymer film B layer having a mean refractive index Nb different from the mean refractive index Na of the thermoplastic polymer film A layer laminated on at least one surface thereof and is characterized by having ≥0.1 nm and ≤10 nm retardation Rd in the surface direction of the optical film and ≥20 nm and ≤60 nm retardation Rth in the thickness direction of the film.
