Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the fluctuations of the optical axis position of a light source unit, when rotating the light source unit in the adjustment of a scanning line pitch.SOLUTION: In an optical scanner deflecting a plurality of scanning light rays applied from a plurality of light emitting parts on a VCSEL arranged in a light source unit 101 supported by an optical housing supporting a deflector in a direction (main scanning direction) inclined to the arrangement direction of the plurality of light emitting parts by the deflector, to scan the outer peripheral surface of a photoreceptive drum with the plurality of scanning light rays, the optical housing supports the light source unit, in such a manner that two places E-1 and E-2 on the V-shaped recess 401 of the optical housing are brought into contact with the parts to be supported A-1 and A-2 of the light source unit, so that the light source unit is rotatable around a rotation axis (X-axis) parallel to the optical axes of the scanning light rays applied from the light source unit.
