Title:
OPTICAL SCANNER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03198012
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To accurately make incident light in the core of an optical waveguide array by driving a second deflection means based on reflected light detected with a sensor which detects the reflected light of light from a light source on the reflecting surface of the optical waveguide array. CONSTITUTION:The light from the light source 1 is made incident on the light incident port end face 10a of the optical waveguide array in scanning shape with a first deflection means 4, and at this time, the light coming off the core string of the optical waveguide array 10 in a subscan direction is reflected on the reflecting surface and is detected with the sensor 5. When the reflected light is detected with the sensor 5, a second deflection means 7 is driven with a driving control means 6, and the light from the light source 1 is deflected in the subscan direction, then, it is made incident on the core string. In such a way, it is possible to accurately make incident the light to the core 12 without being affected by the plane tilt of a polygonal mirror 4 or the straightness of the optical waveguide array 10, etc.
