Abstract:

To provide a small optical semiconductor element carrier especially suitable for mounting a surface emission or surface reception type optical semiconductor element with high accuracy while exhibiting excellent mass productivity and high frequency characteristics, and its mounting structure.

In the optical semiconductor element carrier M1 where the optical semiconductor element 21 is mounted on a base 10 of single crystal silicon, the base 10 is provided with a through hole 11 made by anisotropic etching penetrating the mounting face A1 and the back A2 of the optical semiconductor element 21, and a lens 12 disposed in the through hole 11.
