Abstract:
To prevent the degradation of image quality inexpensively, when correcting scan speed unevenness in an optical writing unit.
The optical writing unit includes: an image information obtaining part 123; a dither information obtaining part 124 obtaining the dither information of an image; a light emission control part 121 controlling a light source based on a pixel clock and image information; and a phase shift part 122 modulating a clock frequency according to phase shift information, changing the timing of modulating the clock frequency for each main scan line, and deciding the timing of modulating the clock frequency based the obtained dither information, to produce the pixel clock.
