Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for optimizing and controlling the energy consumption of a building, including the following steps.SOLUTION: The method includes: a step 302 in which a first computing device generates a set of thermal response coefficients about a building on the basis of energy characteristics of the building and weather data associated with the location of the building; a step 304 for predicting an energy response of the building on the basis of the set of thermal response coefficients and weather forecast associated with the location of the building; a step 306 for selecting the minimum energy request amount of the building on the basis of energy consumption cost associated with the building; a step 308 for determining one or more temperature set points about the building on the basis of the energy response and the minimum energy request amount; and a step 310 for transmitting the one or more temperature set points to a thermostat of the building.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
