Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic-inorganic composite gel and an organic-inorganic composite body which stably carry noble metal nanoparticles whose dimension is controlled at a fine size, and a method for producing them.SOLUTION: A material stably carrying noble metal nanoparticles, whose size is controlled at a level of sub-nm to nm, is obtained by making a water-soluble noble metal compound permeate into an organic-inorganic composite hydrogel comprising a network structure having an organic polymer crosslinked with a delaminated clay mineral and subsequently maintaining the hydrogel at room temperature for a long term to reduce the noble metal compound. By drying and/or firing the material, there is obtained a composite body stably carrying noble metal nanoparticles at a level of sub-nm to nm.
