Title:
ORGANIC SILICON-MODIFIED CHARGE-TRANSFERRING COMPOUND AND CURABLE COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE COMPOUND AND HAVING CHARGE-TRANSFERRING ABILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3916269
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic silicon-modified charge-transferring compound having a specific chemical structure, capable of forming surface-protecting layers small in the surface energy, high in surface hardness and excellent in abrasion resistance, stain resistance and electric characteristics, and useful for plastic lenses, automotive bodies, etc.
SOLUTION: This compound has a chemical structure of the formula [A is a charge-transferring group; Q is a hydrolyzable group, a hydroxyl group; R2 is a monovalent 1-15C hydrocarbon, a monovalent halogen-substituted hydrocarbon; (n) is 1-18; (m) is 1-3; (1) is 1-5] and has an ionization potential of 4.5-6.2eV. For example, [2-(triethoxylsilyl)ethyl]triphenylamine. 20-200 pts.wt. of the organic silicon-modified charge-transferring compound is compounded with 100 pts.wt. of a curable organic silicon polymer resin to provide the curable composition.
