Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orientation measuring device highly precisely and stably measuring and providing the high sensitivity even to a measurement object having a relatively small anisotropy represented by paper.
SOLUTION: This orientation measuring device is characterized by providing a dielectric resonator 20 arranged only one side of a sample, a shield vessel 40 composed of a conductive material, substantially covering the dielectric resonator except for a sample measuring surface, and so arranged as to have a clearance toward a face except for the sample measuring face of the dielectric resonator, a driver for microwave, a detection device for detecting the transmission energy or the reflection energy by the dielectric resonator, a rotating mechanism rotating the sample or the dielectric resonator in a surface parallel to the plane, and a data processing device finding the dielectric anisotropy of the sample from the change in the detection output of the detecting device in rotating by the rotating mechanism.
