Abstract:

To provide a small outdoor unit improving maintenance performance and heat exchange efficiency of a heat exchanger.

The outdoor unit 10 for an air conditioner includes: compressors 30A, 30B arranged on a bottom plate 12 of a casing 11; the heat exchanger 21 with an approximately U-shaped cross section arranged on the bottom plate 12 along three faces which are back face and both lateral face sides of the casing 11; and an air blower 22 arranged above the heat exchanger 21. In the heat exchanger 21, the length L1 in the depth direction positioned on the both lateral face sides of the casing 11 is set longer than the length L2 in the width direction positioned on the back face side of the casing 11. The compressors 30A, 30B are arranged on the front face side of the casing 11 so that at least part of the compressors 30A, 30B is positioned forwardly from a tube plate 21A of the heat exchanger 21.
