Abstract:
To provide an oxidation furnace for performing oxidation treatment to fibers, particularly, for producing carbon fibers.SOLUTION: An oxidation furnace comprises a housing 12 being air-tight other than a through opening 70 particularly for fibers 22. A treatment space is located in an internal space 14 of the housing. Direction conversion rollers guide the fibers 22 so as to tortuously pass through the treatment space in a state of being lined up as fiber carpets 22a. An atmosphere device comprises a blowing apparatus 42, that can blow a high temperature working atmosphere into the treatment space through an outflow hole 54. The working atmosphere reaches the inside of the treatment space via a flow induction device 50. The flow induction device comprises an exchangeable flow induction element 60 comprising a flow through part 62, and can support the flow induction element to the blowing apparatus 42 releasably and/or movably in front of the outflow hole 54.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
