Abstract:
To provide an apparatus for drying oxidatively-polymerized ink, which can inexpensively dry the oxidatively-polymerized ink, containing tung oil or/and linseed oil, in a short amount of time.SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 for drying oxidatively-polymerized ink according to the present invention comprises: a casing 20 facing a printing surface of printed matter coated with the oxidatively-polymerized ink containing tung oil or/and linseed oil; ultraviolet irradiation means 30 that is attached in the casing 20 so as to apply ultraviolet rays toward the printing surface; and oxygen supply means 40 for supplying an oxygen atmosphere into the casing 20. The ultraviolet irradiation means 30 applies the ultraviolet rays with a dominant wavelength of 254 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
