Abstract:
To provide an improved abrasive package that enables long-term storage and reduces the possibility of performance deterioration of the abrasive product.SOLUTION: An article of the invention includes a package 100 that includes a package material 108 that defines an enclosed volume, and a desiccant 110 and a bonded abrasive 104 are contained within the enclosed volume 112. In one embodiment, the desiccant contains calcium ions in an amount of at least 7600 ppm of the total weight of the desiccant. In another embodiment, the bonded abrasive has a moisture absorption of up to 0.3% when exposed to 90% relative humidity at 40°C for 24 days.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
