Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel org. solvent type thermosetting paint composition with high solid content which can form a coating having excellent acid resistance and anti-scratch property at the same time, excellent in low temperature curing, storage stability, and recoating cohesion, and given high enough solid content. SOLUTION: This composition comprises, a compd. contg. carboxyl group (A), at least one epoxide (B) selected from the group consisting of a vinyl polymer (B-1) having an epoxy group, a hydroxyl group, and a hydrolyzing alkoxysilil group in a molecule and having a number average mol.wt. of 1,000-4,000 and a hydroxy group value of 5-100 mgKOH/g, and an epoxy compd. (B-2) having a number average mol.wt. of less than 1,000, a reactive organopolysiloxane (C), a polyol compd. having less than 1,000 mol.wt. and a hydroxy group value of 120-1,000 mgKOH/g(D),and particles of a crosslinking polymer (E), and has a solid content concentration of not lower than 70 wt.%.
