PURPOSE: To quickly feed a work into a preheating zone after the painting of the work in a painting zone is completed to quickly dry the formed film on the work to remove the excessive moisture in the film and to simply wash off the paint bonded to a conveyor at the same time without baking the same to the conveyor.
CONSTITUTION: In painting equipment wherein a painting zone T, a preheating zone P and a baking and drying oven H are provided along the feed direction of a work W, the conveyor C feeding the work W is divided between the preheating zone P and the baking and drying oven H and the conveyor on the front stage side is formed from a slat conveyor 2 wherein attachments 2a on which the work W is placed are formed to the slat 2c attached to the endless chain 2b running through the painting zone T and the preheating zone P at a predetermined interval. Heat barrier plates 9L, 9R blocking the heat emitted toward the slat conveyor 2 from respective heaters 8L, 8R are arranged to the preheating zone P between the slat conveyor 2 and the radiation heaters 8L, 8R arranged on both left and right sides thereof.
