To provide a paper conveying device capable of reducing no printing efficiency and establishing a bookbinding system consistently carrying out a printing to a bookbinding at a low cost.
Between a printing machine 1 for conveying out printed paper sheets every one sheet in a order of page and a bookbinding machine 2 for conveying-in every one paper sheet and binding a book every time when the sheets accumulates for one copy of the book and then conveying-out it, a paper conveying belt 7 for conveying paper sheets 4 conveyed out from the printing machine 1 to the bookbinding machine 2 and a rotatable positioning roller 8 for pressing the paper sheets to the belt 7 are provided. The conveying belt 7 is temporarily stopped for a bookbinding process time of the bookbinding machine 2 every time of conveying a paper of the last page of one book and the paper sheets 4 for next copy of the book subsequently conveyed out from the printing machine 1 are abutted to the roller 8 and are accumulated on the conveying belt 7. After the bookbinding processing, the conveying belt 7 is driven to feed the paper sheets accumulated and the paper sheets for the book subsequently conveyed from the printing machine 1 to the bookbinding machine 2.
