To provide a paper feeding cassette capable of accurately counting the number of remaining paper sheets even when the thickness of one paper sheet varies.
This paper feeding cassette comprises a paper feeding cassette box-shaped part 201; a paper sheet stacking part bottom plate 250 and a paper sheet stacking part side plate 260 connected to each other via a shaft 270; two first projecting pieces 259 provided in both side parts of the paper sheet stacking part bottom plate 250; two second projecting pieces 265 provided in both side parts of the paper sheet stacking part side plate 260; two first guide side plates 271 having first guiding long holes 273 into which the two first projecting pieces 259 penetrate; and two second guide side plates 272 having second guiding long holes 274 into which the two second projecting pieces 265 penetrate. The paper sheet stacking part bottom plate 250 and paper sheet stacking part side plate 260 are sandwiched between the two first guide side plates 271 and two second guide side plates 272 and stored in the paper feeding cassette box-shaped part 201.
