Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance mechanism which enables a movable unit following sheet conveyance to surely operate by the driving force of sheet conveyance.SOLUTION: A sheet temporary retention mechanism includes: a conveyance path in which a sheet is conveyed between a printer unit and a discharge destination of the sheet; a temporary retention unit which recovers the sheet discharged to the discharge destination; a conveyance roller which conveys the sheet by receiving the driving force of a drive unit; a switching gate which switches connection to the conveyance path of the temporary retention unit by the rotational force of the drive unit; and a sheet stopper which presses the sheet recovered to the temporary retention unit by the rotational force. The sheet temporary retention mechanism switches the switching gate to a direction of feeding the sheet toward the temporary retention unit by the rotational force when recovering the sheet, retracts the sheet stopper from the temporary retention unit by the rotational force, switches the switching gate to a direction of not connecting the temporary retention unit to the conveyance path by the reverse rotational force when discharging the sheet, and presses the sheet recovered by exposing the sheet stopper to the temporary retention unit by the reverse rotational force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
