Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate the removing of a paper sheet from a paper sheet carrying unit by stopping a paper sheet carrying motion, and moreover carrying out the carrying motion by a prescribed distance in a direction reverse to a normal carrying direction when a paper sheet carrying unit detects the abnormal carrying of the paper sheet.
CONSTITUTION: When paper sheet detecting means inside an unit 64-67 installed in the first paper sheet carrying unit 30 detect the abnormal carrying of paper sheet, a drive control device 84 releases the paper sheet carrying motion of the second paper sheet carrying unit 31 on the detection signal of the existence of the paper sheet of the paper sheet detection means 68 installed between the first paper sheet carrying unit 30 and the second paper sheet carrying unit 31. In response to the release of the paper sheet carrying motion of the second paper sheet carrying unit 31, the paper sheet carrying motion of the first paper sheet carrying unit 30 is stopped, and the first paper sheet carrying unit 30 is made to carry out the paper sheet carrying motion as far as a prescribed distance in a direction reverse to a normal carrying direction. Thus the removing of the paper sheet from an image copying device can be simplified.
