PURPOSE: To provide a paper sheet feeding device which can feed a large quantity of paper sheets by small power and which is compact and simple in its operability.

CONSTITUTION: A paper sheet feed table 20 is arranged in a manner to perform elevating operation along the inner wall surface of a frame the four sides of which are composed of guide walls. Four pulleys 16 and 17 rotatably supported to a frame right above the fastening parts of the end parts of four wires 51 and 52 arranged at weight balance points are arranged along the two sides, facing to each other, of the paper feeding table. The other ends of the four wires wound around one or two of the pulleys are securely fastened against a drive winding shaft 33 extending through the two frames. A spring hook bed 41 to which a hook on one end of each of two springs 46 and 47, those are energized in directions opposite to each other, is hooked is provided. The one end of a wire 58 is fastened against the other end of the one spring, the other end of the wire is securely fastened against a drive winding shaft, and the other end of other spring is hooked to a spring hook secured on the wall surface of a frame 11.
