PURPOSE: To rotate a paper take-up shaft in a paper take-up direction by small force, by providing an one-way clutch permitting the rotation in the paper take-up direction on the output side to an input side in the power transmission route reaching a slip mechanism from a motor.
CONSTITUTION: In printing, the leading end of journal paper 2 is drawn out to be wound around a guide roller 8 and a pinch roller 7 is separated from a paper feed roller 5 to allow the journal paper 27 to pass to take up the same by a paper take-up shaft 25. When the journal paper 27 is slackened on the upstream side of a paper feed roller 5, the paper feed roller 5 is rotated in a clockwise direction by a hand but can be rotated on the output side by light force without receiving the resistance on the input side of an one-way clutch 10. When the journal paper is slackened between the paper feed roller 5 and the paper take-up shaft 25, the paper take-up shaft 25 is rotated in the clockwise direction to take up the journal paper 27 by the paper take-up shaft 25 but this rotation is transmitted to the output side of the one-way clutch 20 but not to the input side. Therefore, the paper take-up shaft 25 can be easily rotated by a slight force.
