This paper tube consists of a cylindrical paper tube body 11 and a sleeve 12 fitted into at least the inside of one end of the paper tube body 11. The sleeve 12 involves a protruding part 13 protruding inwards at least in one position in the peripheral direction, and its outside diameter is formed into the same dimension as the inside diameter of the paper tube body 11. The sleeve 12 is made of the same material as the paper tube body 11. The sleeve 12 is bonded and secured at the insides of both ends of the paper tube body 11. The paper tube is a core tube of a stencil base paper roll used with a holder having a guide plate guiding the edge of stencil base paper fitted onto both ends.
