The system is equipped with a portable telephone 2, an area management server 100, a parking lot information server 200, and a parking lot management PC 300. The portable telephone sends position information on a destination and retrieval conditions of a parking lot to the area management server, which performs retrieval from the area information database according to the position information on the destination, etc., and determines a parking lot information server put in charge of an area including the destination, and sends the retrieval conditions to the parking lot information server; and the parking lot information server performs retrieval of the parking lot information database from the retrieval conditions to extract and send parking lot names and its fullness information to the area management server, which sends the extracted parking lot names and fullness information to the portable telephone, where a list of the parking lot names and fullness information are displayed. Consequently, a parking lot to be used can easily be selected and the use rates of the parking lots can be made uniform.
