The partition P is used with furniture with top plate having a top plate with at least one use end edge on the front of which a seated person sits and uses, and independently stands up on the floor. The partition includes: a top plate partition part 2 situated on the top plate of the furniture with top plate; a space partition part 4 extending to the seated person side over the use end edge of the top plate from the top board partition part 2; a concealed part 5 extending in a width direction from the projecting end of the space partition part 4; and a connection part 6 for connecting the partition P to the top board. The connection part 6 is configured to selectively take a connected state in which the connection part 6 is connected unmovably relative to the top board and a movable state in which the connection part is movable relative to the top board.
