Abstract:
To provide a passenger conveyor capable of properly blocking earth fault in a safety circuit by an overcurrent circuit breaker in the configuration using a DC power source as a control power source of a safety circuit for a passenger conveyor.SOLUTION: An escalator 1 comprises: a safety circuit 50 including safety devices 51, 52, 53 and 54 to detect the abnormality of the escalator 1 and a safety device monitor relay 55 to detect the operation state of the safety devices 51, 52, 53 and 54; a DC power supply 60 to output DC to the safety circuit 50; and an overcurrent circuit breaker 70. The overcurrent circuit breaker 70, the contact points of the safety devices 51, 52, 53 and 54, and the safety device monitor relay 55 are connected in series in this order between positive and negative output terminals C+ and C- of the DC power supply 60. The negative output terminal C- of the DC power supply 60 is grounded. An overload stop current value of the DC power supply 60 is larger than an instantaneous tripping current value of the overcurrent circuit breaker 70.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
