Abstract:

To provide patterned paper containing filaments or a tape-like material, which is free of surface defects caused by sticking or catching of the filaments or the tape-like material in a papermaking process, and further arranged with the filaments at desired positions.

The patterned paper is composed of obverse and reverse face layers mainly composed of wood pulp, wherein at the interface between the obverse and reverse face layers, at least one material selected from one kind of filaments each has a length of 5-200 mm and a diameter of 10-100 μm, and a tape-like materials each have a length of 5-200 mm and a width of 0.5-15 mm is dispersed in a density of 10-500,000 counts/m2.
