PURPOSE: To obtain a percutaneous preparation useful as an antihypertensive, having inhibitory activities against enzymes capable of converting angiotensin, containing a benzothiazepine derivative, inorganic salt, aliphatic carboxylic acid and alkanepolyol.
CONSTITUTION: 0.1-20wt.% (R)-3-[(S)-1-carboxy-5-(4-piperidyl)pentyl]amino-4- oxo-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1.5-benzothiazepin-5-acetic acid shown by the formula is blended with 0.02-5wt.% inorganic salt, 0.5-10wt.% one or more of 6-20C aliphatic carboxylic acid, a lower alcohol ester thereof and 6-20C aliphatic alcohol and 1-50wt.% alkanepolyol. The blend is preferably mixed with 0.1-10wt.% nonionic surfactant and pharmaceutically manufactured by conventional procedure to give the aimed substance. The aimed substance is preferably prepared into a dosage form such as cream agent, gel ointment, lotion agent, emulsion, patch, etc.
