Abstract:
To provide a technique for improving productivity of punching processing.SOLUTION: A punching device includes: sheet transport means for transporting a sheet; punching means for punching the sheet transported by the sheet transport means; detection means for detecting an end part of the sheet, transported by the sheet transport means, in a direction orthogonal to a transport direction; moving means for moving the punching means; and control means for determining a punching position being a position where the punching means performs punching based on a position of the end part of the sheet detected by the detection means, and controlling the moving means so as to move the punching means to the punching position. The control means starts the movement of the punching means before determining the punching position, and determines the punching position during the movement of the punching means, and controls the moving means so as to stop the movement of the punching means at the punching position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
