To increase the degree of concentration on an image displayed on a display unit to improve communication performed through the image.SOLUTION: A display device for an individual 1 and a display device for an individual 1A comprise a display unit 2 that surrounds one user M. The display unit 2 includes a first display area R1 and a second display area R2 that are arranged in a concave shape when seen from the user M, and can display one image in the first display area R1 and second display area R2. A display system 100 includes two or more display devices 1A for an individual that are communicable via a network 200. The display devices for an individual 1A each display images of the other conference members participating in a remote conference on the display unit 2. The display positions in the display unit 2 of the images of the conference members photographed by the display devices for an individual 1A are determined based on virtual space information 300 that defines the seat arrangement of the conference members in a virtual space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
