A PET bottle compressing and packing machine has an elevating/lowering pressing plate 42 built therein, and is provided with a pressure chamber 22 having a bottom plate 32 opposite to the pressing plate 42. A foreign matters drop hole 43 is formed in the bottom plate 32. A compressed PET bottle discharge port 56 is provided on a lower end of a side plate 33 of the pressure chamber 22. A pusher 62 is reciprocally arranged on the bottom plate 32 so that the compressed PET bottle can be pushed out through the discharge port 56. A carrying table 71 is arranged so that the pushed-out compressed PET bottle is received and carried to the packing position. A foreign matters dropping gap 72 is provided between the bottom plate 32 and a carrying table 71.
