Abstract:

To provide a novel method and the like for treating hypoxia.

This method is for identifying prolylhydroxylase regulatory factor comprises following steps: (a) a step for bringing prolylhydroxylase, a hypothetic prolylhydroxylase regulatory factor and a light-generating fused protein into contact with one another, the photogenerated fused protein comprising an HIF polypeptide portion exhibiting a bonding property to prolylhydroxylase and a photogenerated peptide portion, where the photogeneration by the photogenerated peptide portion changes upon the bond of prolylhydroxylase to the HIF polypeptide portion under a condition favorable for bonding prolylhydroxylase to HIF thereby to form a specimen; and (b) a step for determining the capability of the hypothetic prolylhydroxylase regulatory factor regulating prolylhydroxylase by measuring light generated in the specimen.
