Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL: A compd. represented by formula Ia (wherein R1 is 1-12C alkyl, 2-12C alkenyl, or the like; X is O, S or SO2; Z is H, halogen, 1-8C alkyl, CN, or the like; and Qa is a group represented by formula V or VI (wherein R3-R5 and R13 are each halogen, alkyl, aryl, or the like) or the like] and formula Ib (wherein Z is H, halogen or 1-4C alkyl; R2 is H or 1-4C alkyl, and Qb is a 5-membered hetero-aromatic group bonded through C).

EXAMPLE: N-phenoxymethyl substd. azole (Qa)1-[4-(1-methyl-1-propyloxy)- phenoxymethyl]-4,5-dichloroimidazole.

USE: A harmful insect terminating agent for an insect, a mite, a nematode, etc. A fungicide and an insecticide for the crop plant protection, health and sanitation and the preservation of stores.

PROCESS: Phenol represented by formula III is reacted with a compd. represented by formula IV (Y is a starting group) or formula Ivb according to a reaction formula to obtain compds. represented by formulae Ia and Ib.
