NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula [R1-R4 are each H, alkyl, halogen or alkoxy; R5 is H or alkyl; Y is O or S, Z is alkyl; (n) is 0-5; A is H, COOH, pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or amide, CH2OH, ether or ester derivative of the same, CHO or acetal of the same, COR6 [R6 is (CH2)mCH3 ((m) is 0-4)]].

EXAMPLE: Ethyl 4-[E-2-methyl-2-[4-(3-methyl-2-buteneoxy)phenyl]ethenyl]benzoate.

USE: Treatment drugs of dermatitis, for example, acne, Darier's disease, psoriasis, ichthyosis, eczema, atopic dermatitis and epithelial cancer.

PROCESS: A compound of formula II is, for example, reacted with a compound of formula III in the presence of sodium hydride to obtain the compound of formula I.
