Abstract:
To diversify an application capable of utilizing a low gloss and an amplified high antibacterial property of phosphor bronze and to broaden article field to be proposed, by verifying a low gloss or matte, and at the same time, a remarkable amplification of an antibacterial property and by providing a method for reducing discoloration caused by contact with a human body and change over time, owing to a dull processing of phosphor bronze.SOLUTION: The original high antibacterial properties may be further amplified and expressed more remarkably by making the composition of the phosphor bronze alloy comprise 1.05 wt.% of tin and 0.09 wt.% of phosphorus, and a remainder made up by unavoidable impurities with copper. Initially, the dull roll processing was aimed for the purpose of preventing color change, but while changing the roughness of the dull roll and simultaneously measuring the antibacterial value, the roughness of the dull roll in which low gloss and high antibacterial properties were amplified at a certain roughness became clear. However, the rough-surfacing by 12 to 20S dull not only further amplifies the original high antibacterial properties, but also does not allow other rough-surfacing to follow in preventing color change due to contact with the human body. This highly antibacterial phosphor bronze plate leads to the expansion of fields that can be used, for example handrails, doorknobs, such as medical institutions, and in turn, it is available to obviate the spread of infectious diseases by covering parts that are directly touched by hand in places where an unspecified number of humans gather and separate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
