Abstract:
To accurately collate a cartridge with photographic film by surely identifying the ID of the photographic film.
The plural numbers of the ID are recorded on a film F by bar codes 24 and 32, a numeral 26 read by a bar code reader and an OCR. The plural numbers of information for discriminating the film F are provided, and are read at different timings in timewise, so that probability that reading is not performed is reduced. Thus, it copes with the temporary abnormality of an optical reading means. The identification information of the film F is decided by majority from the plural numbers of the information read, so that the possibility of erroneous reading hardly exists.
