This compound is obtained by culturing a physiologically active substance T0D-4403s-producing fungi belonging to the genus Streptomyces in a medium containing nutritive substances under aerobic conditions, preferably by deep culture method, separating a fungal body from the cultured mixture by filtration or centrifugal separation, extracting the cultured fungal body with an organic solvent such as acetone or methanol and fractionating and purifying the product. The compound of the formula (in the case where R is isobutyl) has the following physicochemical properties: color of the substance, colorless; high resolution mass spectrum: HRFAB-MS (m/z, positive) calculated value, 748, 3701; molecular formula, C37H53N3013; molecular weight, 747; color reaction, positive to iron (III) chloride on silica gel thin layer; solubility, insoluble in water, soluble in methanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform and hexane and discrimination of basicity, acidity and neutrality, neutral.
