Abstract:
PURPOSE:To indicate a scanning enable area to the user accurately by calculating a residual capacity of a storage section storing a picture signal and displaying the result. CONSTITUTION:A picture read section 2 consists of an optical system 20, a charge coupling element (CCD) 21 converting a picture light into an electric signal, pinch rollers 23,24 supported to a case 22 of the picture read section 2, a switch board 25, a secondary battery 26 and electric circuits 27, 28, and picture information photo-electric-converted by the CCD 21 is stored in a storage section provided therein. Then the residual capacity of the storage section with the picture signal stored sequentially therein is calculated and the residual capacity is displayed. Thus, the scanning enable range of a picture is surely indicated to the user.
