To provide a piezoelectric vibrator with a structure of a weight hardly affected by intermetallic diffusion between Ag of a weight material and Au of a foundation metal.

The piezoelectric vibrator includes: a turning fork type piezoelectric vibration chip having a pair of vibration parts each formed with an exciting electrode; a foundation metal which is formed on the surface of the vibration part and the surface of which is configured of gold, a frequency adjustment weight part formed on the foundation metal of faces at both sides of the vibration part in a way of including the same film structure; an enclosed package wherein the piezoelectric vibration chip is sealed; and external electrodes connected to the exciting electrodes and formed in the outside of the enclosed package, and even if intermetallic diffusion takes place between the weight material and the foundation metal, the shift of the gravity center is cancelled between the front side and the rear side of the vibration part.
