Abstract:
To provide a pigment composition having a high refractive index and excellent transparency, heat resistance, and light resistance in applications of high refractive index materials used in an optical lens for an infrared sensor or an infrared communication apparatus or an optical waveguide for the infrared sensors or the infrared communication apparatus.SOLUTION: A pigment composition for use in an optical lens for an infrared sensor or an infrared communication apparatus, or an optical waveguide for the infrared sensor or the infrared communication apparatus, contains pigment, resin, and dispersant. Its refractive index at 23°C and a wavelength of 940 nm is 1.7 or higher, and when a film with a thickness of 1.0 μm is formed, the maximum absorbance at 780-870 nm is 1.0 or more, and the absorbance at 910 nm is less than 0.3. The pigment is an organic pigment having a squarylium, naphthalocyanine, or phthalocyanine structure.SELECTED DRAWING: None
