Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersant which is excellent in capability of dispersing a pigment and enables a pigment dispersion excellent in viscosity stability to be produced, and to provide a pigment ink for writing or recording which is prepared by using the dispersant and an alcohol-soluble resin and has a low viscosity and in which a pigment is dispersed well.
SOLUTION: A compound represented by formula I (X is an acylamino group; and Y is, e.g. an anthraquinonylamino group having a hydrogen atom or an acylamino group bonded to the 4-position) is used as the dispersant.
